An introduction to the work of Noho
Niall Ó hOisín
Noho is a video and computer graphics studio that work primarily in the virtual heritage area. There are many techniques and media available to the heritage sector to relate information and visualise aspects about our past. This presentation will explore some of those techniques and focus on our experience in this area. The presentation will also explain what we can learn through the visualisation process and how the public can benefit from these visualisations. We will relate our experience in building historical cities, re-creating historical buildings, visualising historical events, and what the best practices in this field are. The examples we will show will cover sites and historical periods such as Medieval Dublin, King John’s Castle, Nomadic(Tender to the Titanic), Abbey Theatre and Derry’s Walls.
